Dear Brothers and Sisters:

As we start 2010, our dues rates will once again see an increase. 

The dues formula established at the last Grand Lodge Convention in 2008 will continue until at least the next Convention scheduled to be held in 2012.  Although we have had annual dues increases for many years, the latest formula includes cost of living adjustments and lump sum increases that far surpass the amount of annual increases we have had previously. 

I want to insure you that your Local Lodge has done everything to minimize any further dues increase to our members.  Local Lodge 1781 still has one of the lowest dues rates in the IAM and considerably less than many other unions.
